A science enthusiast, Joséphine Verne eagerly corresponds from her native Quebec with her French cousin, Jules. Between their dreams of travel and flights of fiction, they share a common thought: “There are worlds within me that I do not yet suspect.”
To finally bring about their meeting, Joséphine wagers 80 pounds that she will cross the Atlantic by the next full moon. From the St. Lawrence River to the Loire, the characters have everything they need to make history, with a capital J.

"With Jules and Joséphine, one recognizes the Advienne que pourra signature, that is, the signature of Frédéric Bélanger and Sarah Balleux (even though, exceptionally, she did not design the magnificent costumes for this new production (kudos to Jonathan Beaudoin!) : lively, sparkling, funny, nourishing shows in constant motion."
— Yanik Comeau, Comunik Média / ZoneCulture
"Jonathan Beaudoin’s costumes (splendid) and Julie Measroch’s accessories fit perfectly with this whimsical story, where one can scoop magma from the center of the Earth with just a single iron cup."
— Stéphanie Morin, LaPresse
"Similarly, the costumes, especially those of the main characters: a golden tunic for Jacquot, puffed trousers and a jacket with gold-embroidered lapels for Joséphine, display the refinement that Théâtre Advienne que pourra has accustomed its audience to, even though they are not, this time, the work of co-artistic director Sarah Balleux, but of Jonathan Beaudoin."
— Sophie Pouliot, LeDevoir
