The day his mother disappears, young Chris finds himself alone and unprepared.
He had been told so often that he wasn’t very smart that he eventually came to believe it. Around him, fortunately, hands reach out, offering small advice, odd jobs, and a few little schemes…
At the local flea market or in the apartment building where he works as a janitor, our hero takes matters into his own hands and investigates the past of the woman he called Mom.
They say it takes a village to raise a child; perhaps sometimes it takes a boulevard to support a young man who’s trying to find himself.

"The sensitive direction of the actors surrounding the main character also provides an interesting insight into the awkwardness and misconceptions one can have when faced with difference. The set design, simple and effective, [...] makes this visual environment an eloquent reflection of a divergent perception of the world. A theatrical moment that feels truly good."
— Dominique Denis, Jeu Revue de Théâtre
"A kind of naïve tale, Le Boulevard exudes a slightly old-fashioned charm in our disenchanted era, offering a reassuring perspective on humanity’s capacity for solidarity."
— Marie Labrecque, LeDevoir
"Le Boulevard at Théâtre du Rideau Vert, an absolute favorite! This story of resilience is touching, magnificent, and profoundly human. The play resonates deeply and is a joy to watch. The actors deliver remarkable performances, with special mention to Alexandre Lagueux, who is simply breathtaking in his role as Chris. The exceptional work in direction and set design also deserves praise, adding further depth to the piece."
